At the heart of Hayley's Funerals is Hayley Ratcliffe, a dedicated and compassionate Funeral Director who founded this Independent, Lady-led Funeral home in St. Austell.

For us it's more than a business; it's a deeply personal calling to serve our local community and the wider Cornish area with unwavering care and respect.
Hayley's connection to St. Austell runs deep. Having spent her entire life here, attending both Mount Charles and Poltair Secondary Schools, she's a true local. Even as a young girl, Hayley's early ambition was always to work within the funeral profession, dreaming of one day becoming a Funeral Director. In 1996, whilst still at school she took her first step, gaining invaluable work experience at W.J. Beswethericks in Truro. That same year she met her future husband, and their 26-year marriage, blessed with two sons and their granddaughter stands as a testament to her commitment and love.

After nurturing her family, Hayley's lifelong passion resurfaced. From 2016, she poured her heart into working with two respected local Funeral Directors, gaining years of extensive experience supporting countless families across St. Austell and its surrounding areas. Hayley is extremely proud and honoured to have achieved her dream of opening her own funeral home, on the very road where her beloved grandparents once lived, a real tribute to her deep-rooted connection to the community.
Hayley's commitment to excellence is reflected in her comprehensive training. She's completed SAIF training for Funeral staff, holds certificates in Health & Safety, Foundation Funeral Practitioner, Funeral Operative, and Funeral Administrator qualifications which led her to achieve the ‘Certificate in Funeral Practice’ (Cert. FP). This rigorous training, coupled with her hands-on experience, has equipped her with the advanced skills and profound understanding needed to guide bereaved families through their most difficult times.

Hayley's unwavering compassion and respect have earned her the trust and appreciation of the local community. Under her gentle guidance, a close-knit team will uphold her vision, treating every family with the same tenderness and care they would extend to their own.
At Hayley's Funerals, we understand the profound grief that accompanies the loss of a loved one. We're dedicated to providing a personal, respectful, and deeply caring service. We warmly invite you to our St. Austell funeral home, where we can discuss your needs and create a truly fitting and personalised farewell. We'll listen attentively to your wishes, guiding you through every step of the process with sensitivity and understanding.
